Navy Pier

Located at 600 E Grand Avenue, this is Chicago's most visited attraction. It really does make for a fantastic family day out, and is a must-see when in Chicago. Although there is something here for everyone, large sections are aimed at the younger ones, and it is guaranteed to leave children under 12 in awe. The vast collection of high-tech-rides, hands-on fountains, kid-focused educational exhibits, fast-food restaurants and trinket vendors will have you and your children in fantasy land. The massive Ferris wheel is very popular, and will leave your stomach churning for some time. Standing at a very impressive 150 feet, the ride will be one of your fonder and ever lasting memories of Chicago. The beautiful carousel, with its bobbling, carved horses and organ music, is another favorite. Time Escape 3-D is a futuristic, virtual roller-coaster ride, which transports daredevils back in time to Chicago's dinosaur-filled-past, and forward 300 years into the fast and furious future. Some of the more preferred activities for adults include, taking in the stunning views from the pier, taking one of the lovely themed boat tours from the southern side, attending the 1500-seat Skyline Stage with its variety of acts and visiting the beautiful and romantic Crystal Gardens fountains. When you are finished you tour, you will realize and accept why over 7 million people visit the Navy Pier every year.
